The research behind our formulas

follicare is built on Caronositol Fertility®, a patented combination of myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol in a 3.6:1 ratio, studied in women with PMOS (formerly PCOS). Feminoria uses four Lactobacillus strains studied for vaginal microbiota balance. Each study below links to the published paper.

Which study used the follicare ratio?

Inositol ratio and pregnancy outcomes in women undergoing ICSI (2019)

What was studied
60 women with PCOS undergoing ICSI (a form of IVF) took either 1,100 mg myo-inositol and 300 mg D-chiro-inositol a day (the 3.6:1 ratio used in follicare) or a standard 40:1 formula, for 12 weeks.
What it found
A pregnancy rate of 65.5% vs 25.9%, and a live-birth rate of 55.2% vs 14.8%, in favour of the 3.6:1 ratio.

Which study used Feminoria's strains?

Lactobacillus strains and vaginal microbiota balance (2023)

What was studied
36 women without symptoms took an oral combination of three of Feminoria's four Lactobacillus strains (CBT-LA1, CBT-LR5, CBT-LU4) for six weeks. Vaginal samples were checked with Nugent scoring, 16S sequencing and qPCR.
What it found
Of the 10 women who started with an imbalanced vaginal-flora score (high Nugent score), 6 moved to a healthy score within six weeks, and vaginal Lactobacillus increased.
